Jockey and Juleps
The McLeod Health Foundation proudly announces the first annual Jockey and Juleps, a “Kentucky Derby” themed event. This signature event will benefit local healthcare at McLeod Health Seacoast and McLeod Health Loris. The charitable support ensures excellent healthcare for our community during the unprecedented Covid-19 crisis. This signature event will directly impact the lives of the patients and families we serve at McLeod Health Seacoast and McLeod Health Loris.
Red Cross Blood Drive
J&K hosted a blood drive at our Coastal Grand Myrtle Beach location. From Red Cross: Your willingness to open your doors and recruit blood donors is vital to the lives of the patients that we serve. Your support and generosity helps to ensure blood needs are met locally. And, once that is done, assists the Red Cross in ensuring blood is available when and where it is needed the most – the ongoing fulfillment of our mission depends on you!
Your blood drive held in August is now on its way to helping hospital patients at the below hospitals. You and your team should be proud!
Lending a Hand
J&K teamed up with Sewing Down South for a Pillow Party and donated 100% of all ticket profits to Lending a Hand Charity in the Bahamas to help with Hurricane Relief Efforts. Lend A Hand Bahamas is a Bahamian nonprofit focused on bringing more activities and opportunities to socio-economically disadvantaged areas of the Bahamas through hands-on 4H based programming and enhanced collaboration with other national and global nonprofits.
Purses with Purpose
The North Myrtle Beach Woman's Club knows a woman's weakness … handbags! The Purses with Purpose charity event is the group's fundraiser that supports organizations focusing on women, children and youth, seniors and those in need. In its eight years, the “Purses with Purpose” Charity Benefit has raised over $300,000 for charities in our community. Our own John Hanna walked in the event to auction off a handbag and J&K offered a prize in the silent auction.
